"Oliver Haslegrave works like a set designer, pulling from disparate sources to create intricate, dramatic spaces that tell stories all their own." - T Magazine

Home Studios is a firm for interior architecture and design based in Brooklyn.

As a close-knit, collaborative team led by founder Oliver Haslegrave, the studio combines their accomplished backgrounds in architecture, interiors, custom fabrication and fine art to illuminate the stories of our clients through a process that is intuitive, exacting and attentive.

The studio designs for individuals and endeavors who value diversity of expression, playful curiosity, devotion to detail and the primacy of emotion over conventional thought and trends.

Beginning in 2009, Home Studios quickly gained a reputation for crafting cult favorite bars and restaurants in the East Village and Brooklyn, building nearly every element of the space themselves on site. These influential projects include Manhattan Inn, Goat Town, Donna and Tørst.

Their recent designs for Gwen, The Spaniard, Bibo and Harvey House have been recognized as among the best in the country. The studio has been featured in The New York Times, T Magazine, Architectural Digest and Elle Decor, and has been placed three times on the AN Interior 50 and twice on the Sight Unseen Hot List.

Long known for the singular look and feel of their hospitality work, the studio recently began undertaking residences. In 2020 their first New York residence on Bond Street was completed, followed by a Fort Greene townhouse in 2021, and a Williamsburg townhouse in 2023, with current residential projects in San Diego, Manhattan and Millerton, NY underway.

Oliver Haslegrave has a BA in Film Studies from Wesleyan University and previously worked as a Fiction Editor at Little, Brown.
